A typical day in the bush.
YOU WILL SEE AT WILD RIDE SAFARIS
Usually 2 rides per day – one morning ride and one afternoon ride. About 6 hours riding per day perhaps a bit more depending. (weather depending)
One free day a week where you can relax and unwind should you wish. There will also be full day rides (more in the winter months) where we will have a picnic lunch in the bush.
During our long summer months (weather permitting “no rain forecast”) we also spend a couple of nights in the bush. This is usually for our guests who stay three to four weeks or longer. We spend about three nights out in the bush sleeping under the stars with the horses and taking the horses for a swim in the Olifants river.
We will also do a town trip once a week for any shopping for souvenirs or personal goodies. Then there are the day trips to Kruger National Park and the Panorama, on these days we are not able to fit a ride in as we need to leave the lodge early and will get back too late.
During your stay you are literally guaranteed to see from Horse Back, Elephant, Lion, Giraffe, Buffalo, Zebra, Kudu, Nyala, Impala, Bushbuck, Grey and Red Duiker, Waterbuck, Hippo to name a few.
The Lion and Elephant from horse back will be up to each persons discretion as some folk are a bit nervous to view these animals from Horse Back, you will however still be able to see these beauties from a vehicle however.
You will also have the opportunity of getting up close and personal to our world famous White Lions of Timbavati.
